Welcome to homework assignment CCC 1.29 of the Core Cannabis Course from Higher Learning LV. In this assignment, students learn about humulene, a terpene produced by cannabis, hemp, and a number of other plant species, including the hops used to brew beer (which are a botanical cousin to cannabis). Humulene is one of the eight super class terpenes identified in the October 2022 peer-reviewed research study as being the most common in North American cannabis cultivars.

What is Humulene?
Humulene, also known as alpha-humulene (α-humulene) and alpha-caryophyllene (α-caryophyllene), is one of the most common terpenes in cannabis/hemp/marijuana. This popular phytomolecule delivers an aroma and flavor that is earthy, woody, and spicy.
